Ruud van den Berk, Owner of Vormboomkwekerij Ruud van den Berk, Shares His Experience with the DTM Crown Binder as an Attachment Unit for a Loader

Vormboomkwekerij Ruud van den Berk in Sint-Oedenrode covers 50 hectares of shaped trees ranging in sizes from 20/25 and 25/30, as well as multi-stem trees from 2/2.5 to 4/5 meters. Since manually tying up multi-stem trees is heavy and labor-intensive work, Ruud looked for a solution to mechanize this process. He also noticed that this task was neither easy nor enjoyable for his employees.

"Labor is a huge challenge, so the binding machine is simply a necessity for us," says Ruud.

Ruud chose the DTM Crown Binder because it is not a ready-made machine but an attachment unit that can be easily mounted onto a loader. "We already had the loader, which we use for multiple purposes. Otherwise, we would have had to purchase a much more expensive machine that is only suitable for binding."
